Is ZeroGPT accurate enough to catch DeepSeek? Our head-to-head stress test says no. We ran 72 pieces of long-form content generated by DeepSeek v3.2 through two AI detectors: AI or Not and ZeroGPT. AI or Not correctly identified 67 out of 72 samples for a 93.06% accuracy rate, while ZeroGPT detected only 41, landing at 56.94% a 36-point gap. The test used high-complexity content types including academic papers, technical reports, and persuasive essays designed to push detection limits. With DeepSeek scoring 88.5% on MMLU and 82.6% on HumanEval, its writing fingerprint is nearly invisible to legacy tools. This controlled study reveals why continuously training on the newest LLMs matters, and why relying on outdated AI detection in 2026 puts accuracy at serious risk.
